Please welcome Kathleen Cullinen, Ph.D., RDN, joins the Rutgers Cooperative Extension as a Family and Community Health Sciences Educator for Ocean County. Cullinen will be part of the Healthy Aging efforts within Rutgers Cooperative Extension, supporting education, outreach, and scholarship in community nutrition, health and wellness.
Cullinen is a public health practitioner and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with more than 15 years of experience working with culturally diverse communities to achieve equitable health outcomes. She is proficient in designing, implementing and evaluating large-scale, complex projects and programs with proven dissemination skills.
She specializes in community engagement, community-based needs assessments, community-based participatory research, health education, training, technical assistance and grant proposal writing. Cullinen received a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech and master’s and doctoral degrees in Human Nutrition from the University of Rhode Island.
