Please welcome Meredith Taylor, the new FCHS Educator in Middlesex County.
Meredith Taylor, MA, MPH joins the Rutgers Cooperative Extension as a Family and Community Health Sciences Educator for Middlesex County. Meredith will be part of the Community Food Systems efforts within Cooperative Extension, supporting education, outreach, and scholarship in Food Justice and Urban Agriculture.
Previously, Meredith Taylor was the Senior Program Administrator in the Department of Human Ecology. She managed the New Brunswick Community Farmers Market, and two organic community gardens on Cook Campus.
Meredith is affiliated with Rutgers University Center for Agricultural Food Ecosystems (RU-CAFE), and through the Urban Ag Lab, she conducts research in the areas of urban agriculture, food systems and public health. She works statewide with groups focused on building local and healthy food systems in underserved communities, and teaches an undergraduate course called Food Justice and Community Advocacy. Meredith serves as a trustee for New Jersey Conservation Foundation.
