Rutgers Food Innovation Center South, under a grant from the US Department of Agriculture, is at the cutting edge of creating healthier meals for school cafeterias. Bridgeton High School students visited the center in Cumberland County to sample and rate the foods. The recipes include produce from New Jersey farms and ingredients manufactured by companies in the state, which gives the local economy a boost and provides healthier choices for students.
