In the spring, the Health and Medicine Living-Learning Community at Rutgers held its Mocktail Mixer at the Busch Student Center in Piscataway. This was an opportunity for undergraduate students to network with professionals and advanced degree students in an effort to explore different career tracks and gain contacts in the health and medicine sector.
As many of the community residents are interested in pursuing a career in animal science, several alumni with animal sciences degrees from Rutgers attended to offer their insight. These included Derek Adler CC’02, Isaac Alejo SEBS’19, Amanda Bumber SEBS’12 and Cora Yates SEBS’19. Amanda and Cora also served as panelists.
The undergraduate students were very receptive to the information shared with them and were able to make connections for further interest in the field.
