The newly formed Office of Research Analytics (ORA) of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES) held an Open House last month at its location in Room 003 in Martin Hall, across from the Waksman Room. ORA, a unit of the NJAES Office of Cooperative Research, was initiated by Senior Associate Director Brad Hillman, with the aim of bringing cutting-edge, cost-effective analytical, economic and technological research tools and techniques to bear on research, teaching and extension efforts.
ORA is led by Peggy Brennan-Tonetta, associate director, NJAES, who serves as the director, providing leadership and strategic direction for the office. The office includes Brian Schilling, assistant extension specialist of agricultural policy, who serves as the associate director, providing guidance and policy expertise for ORA and its research projects. Lucas Marxen is the assistant director for research technology with expertise in geographic information systems and the integration of computer technology and interactive website applications. Kevin Sullivan serves as the assistant director for statistical analysis with expertise in statistical analysis, econometric modeling and economic impact modeling. Rounding out the ORA team is Dan Farnsworth, a web designer with expertise in interactive website design and programming.
