Two Rutgers students were among the 22 winners of the 2013 American Meteorological Society “Named Scholarships” for senior undergraduate Meteorology majors. Sherilyn Graham and James Danco, both entering their senior year at Rutgers, were announced winners of this prestiguous national award. Danco was awarded the $2,500 Dr. Pedro Grau AMS Named Scholarship and Graham the $2,000 Dr. Robert S. Fraser AMS Named Scholarship.
The American Meteorological Society (AMS) administers an array of graduate fellowships and undergraduate scholarships with the support of its members, corporations and government agencies nationwide. The fellowships and scholarships help further the education of outstanding graduate and undergraduate students pursuing a career in the atmospheric and related oceanic or hydrologic sciences.
