Merrill Simpson, a senior majoring in animal sciences at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, sought comfort by getting back in the saddle, literally, returning to an activity she’s always loved in an effort to rebuild her life after her mother passed away. Her childhood dream of riding and owning a horse were realized, only to end with her enrollment at SEBS in the equine sciences program. Now she’s riding again to honor the memory of her mother.
