The Lindley G. Cook 4-H Camp is a residential summer camp located in Branchville, NJ, in the heart of beautiful Stokes State Forest in Sussex County. Since 1951, the camp has served 4-H and non-4-H youth in grades 4 – 11. It offers a traditional week-long overnight camp with evenings around the campfire, talent shows, activities, games and dances in a safe, non-competitive environment. The intentionally small community provides a safe and positive camp experience where each camper can be successful.
The camp offers many exciting classes including kayaking, canoeing, archery, survival skills, outdoor cooking, arts and crafts, pottery, drama, and much more. The “unplugged” environment encourages campers to try new things, meet new challenges and make new friends.
In addition to the summer camp program, Lindley G. Cook offers an exciting week of science camp. The Science, Engineering and Technology Camp offers intense, focused classes in a variety of creative areas of science, such as Robotics, Rocketry and Aeronautics, Car Talk, Eco-Detectives, Designing a Super-Coaster, and more.
Lindley G. Cook 4-H Camp is affordable and offers a $50 discount to Rutgers employees and 4-H members when registering for a session of camp. Also, an early-bird discount of $50 is available if you register by March 1.
