We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Greg DiLalo as he prepares to embark on a well-deserved retirement. Greg’s extraordinary dedication to Rutgers University spans decades, reflecting a deep personal and professional commitment. His connection to the institution began over a century ago through his family’s ties, and his own remarkable contributions over the past several decades have left an indelible mark. We are deeply appreciative of his unwavering dedication and achievements.
From his early days as a student at Cook College to becoming the founding IT Director for SEBS/NJAES, Greg’s vision, innovation, and leadership have been truly transformative. His pioneering efforts—from introducing the first mainframe system to developing the AESOP platform and Project Connect—have significantly advanced our technological capabilities.
The robust IT infrastructure he built has become an essential pillar of our operations, driving progress across every facet of our school and experiment station.
Greg’s ability to anticipate and adapt to the rapid evolution of technology, combined with his unwavering commitment to excellence, has been truly inspiring. He grew the IT department from a one-person operation into a vital, multi-functional team, ensuring that SEBS/NJAES remains at the forefront of innovation.
