Jared Cannon pitched his healthy meal-in-a-jar company to the famed venture capitalists on March 5th.
Rutgers Food Innovation Center (FIC) client Simply Good Jars appeared on “Shark Tank” at the beginning of March and was successful in getting a $500,000 investment from Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner!
“Jared Cannon approached the Rutgers FIC after seeing our website and the advertised availability of a space within the building previously occupied by another famous tenant…Impossible Foods. Jared and his small team were looking for a space to work on their very unique Salad in a Jar concept. Once they visited the center and saw the capabilities, our team of industry veterans and the ability to work in a USDA and FDA certified food manufacturing plant, they were very happy to join the FIC family. Jared has a vision for this product and is very passionate about its success,” Nolan Lewin, acting executive director & director of operations, Food Innovation Center.
