The Frenchtown Green Fair last Saturday, Sept. 28, featured all kinds of activities, especially for kids. They could touch a bug at the Rutgers Landscape & Nursery workshop, see a live animal show with Eyes of the Wild & Wallaby Tales and pet farm animals in a display set up by Hunterdon 4-H club members. Arts and crafts opportunities abounded and there were story times hosted by the Book Garden, a Frenchtown store. Flower pot painting was offered by the Frenchtown Community Garden as well as the chance for kids to put their hands in a big tub of compost and leaf mulch, full of earthworms. The boys especially seemed to like playing in the dirt.
