A slow-moving coastal storm to our south may spawn repeated rounds of tidal flooding, heavy rain and minor to moderate beach erosion in New Jersey this week, according to experts. The National Weather Service on Tuesday issued a coastal flood advisory for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, with minor coastal flooding forecast in Atlantic and Cape May counties…David A. Robinson, the state climatologist at Rutgers University, said the storm "bears watching. It’s not (superstorm) Sandy. It’s not the (March) ’62 nor’easter, but it’s got pieces of each. They’re just not as intense, nor is the storm destined to come up the coast and move inland. It’s not a tropical storm."
