Three Rutgers University professors have devised a simple, yet highly effective bedbug detector and trap that might just rival anything else on the market. The do-it-yourself device consists of a dog-food bowl filled with sugar, yeast and water. It’s cheaper and works better than commercial traps that find and trap bedbugs, according to Rutgers. The device was created by Narinderpal Singh, Changlu Wang, and Richard Cooper from Rutgers University School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.
